Bradley 3 Ranch…
The WIDE BODY Sale Report
The time tested Bradley 3 Ranch program offered bulls with calving ease, muscle and efficiency on February 15. As many cattlemen begin to rebuild and restock their cow herds, they recognized the value of Bradley genetics and bid steadily throughout the sale.
Sale events began on Friday afternoon with guest speaker Danny Jones, President of Superior Livestock.
This year’s high selling Angus bull, Lot 31, sold for $17,000 to long-time, repeat customer Lynn Cowden of Skellytown, Texas. He has purchased Bradley bulls for 37 years. The calving ease prospect combined a high gain on grass and gain on grain with big REA and IMF measures.
The second high selling Angus bull, Lot 45, sold to Perry Ranch of Pauls Valley, Oklahoma, for $15,500. B3R Grass Master Z187 posted a 3.36 gain on grass, 1.32 REA/cwt and is one the widest based, easiest fleshing bulls to ever sell in the Bradley sale. Sired by a past sale topper, B3R Western Swing W446, Grass Master will be used in Perry’s Brangus, Ultrablack and Angus programs.
Genex Cooperative, Inc., purchased Lot 107, B3R Z235 Elector BtB W129. The B3R Back to Basics son showed high marks for Heifer Pregnancy, Docility, Efficiency and Scrotal.
The high selling Charolais bull, a son of the Red Dirt out of LT Bluegrass, sold for $7,000. The herd sire prospect presented top measures for REA, YW and gain on grass.
The entire offering of Angus and Charolais bulls averaged $6,300. Bulls sold into 7 states.
Bradley 3 Ranch's next annual sale will be February 14, 2015 featuring 200+ Angus and Charolais bulls and will be held at the ranch.
