At Bradley 3 Ranch, we have been measuring and selecting for maternal excellence for decades. We believe that survivability and innate fertility are key to a great maternal herd that is self-sufficient in producing calves.
We have high expectations for our cows and they must be able to maintain good body condition and raise calves to acceptable weaning weights with minimal supplementation in tough terrain and hard weather.
According to the American Angus Association, "The Pathfinder Angus program was started in 1978 in an effort to identify superior cows in the breed based on their records of performance from Angus Herd Improvement Records."
Bradley 3 Ranch has been a longtime Pathfinder Cow Awarded Herd and received 27 Pathfinder Cow Awards from in 2023. With the extreme drought and a great breed up, 2023's awards were extra special.
